If I read the description properly, I assume the bottom
section of tower was placed in a concrete base and it
folded over somewhere above ground.
It seems to me that the SIMPLE solution would be to
cut off the upper part of the bottom section, leaving only
a straight vertical piece. Then get some 1 inch i.d. galvanized
pipe (something that will fit nicely inside the legs), place
a piece of of this pipe inside each leg, drill appropriate
holes in through the tower legs and pipe, set a NEW
tower section above this joint and drill appropriate holes
through the pipe using the holes in the bottom of the new
R25 section as a guide. QUICK and EASY.
If the section is bent down to the concrete, simply cut it
off and place the pipes in the legs that are in the concrete.
I have 130 ft of R35 resting on a 'short section' made
of such galvanized pipe with horizontal straps welded
in place. The short section was placed in the ground
with approximately 8+ inches of pipe above ground.
It's been up for over 10 years with NO problems.
