I am in the process of setting up this exact thing to remotely adjust a tuner
using multiple screwdrivers and a simple NTSC video camera/monitor to monitor
the settings - KISS approach. It would be best to remove the batteries and
use an appropriate supply.. Also, some RFI filtering will be needed - like a
0.01 across the motor terminals. It is probably a good idea to set up some
limit switches to avoid any chance of crunching the cap, etc. Steppers are
great and are best for an automated system, but the drive circuitry is
considerably more complex.
