Ford, I misread your initial post... "The bolt holes in the TUBES (my emphasis) were enlarged." I had assumed it was the hinge-tab holes which had enlarged..but elongation of the tower leg holes suggests two things to me: 1) The bolts may not have been tight enough to begin with. 2) The tower base may, indeed, be sinking...loosening the guys, and allowing the tower to wiggle with windload. The wiggle-moments will all be felt at the loose bolts at the low end of the tower. Jim, N2EA |
