I'm getting closer to finishing the spec-ing of my 40 meter tower. I'm going to rotate a M2 40M3L 40 meter beam on top. It weighs 100 pounds and has a boom length of 30 feet. What to use for a rotor? I have seen favorable comments on both the Orion OR 2800PDC ($1573) and the Yaesu G2800DXA ($1140). Is the Orion worth the extra money or should I go with the Yaesu? Reliability is most important to me. Once up I want it to keep working. 73, Bruce K1MY |
