My homeowners insurance covers (at least the last time
I looked!) "outdoor antennas" and doesn't specify what
kind of antennas are covered.
I once turned in a $1000 bill for ice storm damage that
the insurance co paid. I submitted photos and bill of
materials, hours used, etc. I did the work myself.
As I remember, the Insurance agent said that damage by ICE
wasn't covered and I responded by saying that "the antennas
were doing just fine until the wind came up". Wind damage is
covered.
