I have shunt fed my US tower crank-up on 160m with no problems. These
towers have metal-on-metal slides between the sections and I rather doubt
there is any problem with electrical continuity......I suspect this
"continuity/ resestivity" concern for crank-ups is mostly a non-issue unless
the tower has insulated roller slides.....even then....doesn't it have
cables and metal pulleys?? I also assume your coax is grounded at the
top....and ends up at the bottom. Just feed it and try it.
