FWIW, I have always found the "Raid" wasp & hornet killer to be most effective -
will stop them in flight. Raid claims an ~12 ft stream. Some brands aren't
very
quick - avoid them; the objective is to nuke 'em! Your best advice will be at a
farm supply store (or any farmers here on the reflector). To be most effective
and to get them all, wait till after dark, say, 1-2 hours. They (usually)
return
to the nest. Soak it, wait a bit (watch out & be ready to shoot - some may try
to escape), knock it down and resoak it. And yes, get 'em all cuz they really
can get PO'ed!! Been there more than once with a nest the size of a football
(the ground hornets are "phun" too). Good luck.
