I have a similiar setup.
My desk backs up to a closet in a new house
under construction. The closet is my electronics shop.
I had the carpenters make 3 openings in the wall
in back of the desk for access from the closet.
Two of the openings are essentially windows type
about 20" x 20" starting just below table height.
They will have doors opening into the closet.
The third one is an actual door starting at the floor
but ending at the same head height as the "windows"
It is for access to the grounding panel which begins in the
corner of the operating room. The desk will be three sided
to work around the corner and I will have just enough room
to go in behind the desk and fiddle with the grounding stuff.
