Assuming that 3/16 EHS is somewhere in the neighborhood of .187", my
Machinery's Handbook says that would be the equivalent to 5 AWG. I was
probably one of the contributors to that Nicopress thread as all of the
fittings on my tower are of that type. Mine were done by myself at a US
marine supply store, and I definitely remember purchasing the sleeves by the
fraction of an inch rather than wire gage.
