Don't know how they compare, but I have the C31XR on an M-1870A.  It was
interesting to me that the C31XR has 3 unique measurements:

1.  The center of the boom
2.  The balance point
3.  THE CENTER BETWEEN THE 2 INNER-MOST ELEMENTS!

With the GM tower, you have to put the mast at the 3rd choice to clear the
tower.

Works wonderfully - Maybe this will help if the C3 inner element spacing is
anything near the C31.  Good luck with the project!  73
