I have similar situation, in my case I have a split boom, so I can use
smaller diameter insert for the rotor and then fit the both boom pieces over
the insert and maintain concentricity.
Another way of getting around it is if the rotor is mounted on the top of
them mast you could have about 270 deg. rotation, make fixture in the form of
letter J, where longer part of the J is made out of tubing that will fit
inside the rotor opening, bottom part of J is long enough to clear the rotor
body and short part of J can be made out of L angle and would have boom
attached to it. In this case rotor is carrying extra load, so try to keep the
bottom part of J as short as possible. If the rotor is mounted along the
mast, you can still get about 150 deg of rotation.
