Hi Guys,

Reading the press release put out by Will-Burt, I think Joe may have it
wrong when he says they *had acquired the rights to
Tri-Ex*.

The Will-Burt announcement say they *the acquisition of the assets and all
mobile tower products of the Tri-Ex Tower Corporation*.

To me that means they *bought the company*.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Tri-Ex Ownership Change

The last twelve months have been a sensational year for Tri-Ex
tower sales,
but the delivery of the towers from the factory in Visalia,
California
suffered terribly. This coupled with a wave of broken delivery
promises
direct from the Visalia factory did not help. On the other
hand, the year
2000 however has been a banner year for First Call
Communications where
Tri-Ex sales reached the one million dollar point in the second
week of
September.

In order to keep up the Tri-Ex tower sales, allow for expedient
delivery of
towers, and implement new technology certain major steps were
taken to this
end.

Effective immediately, all amateur radio towers (including the
Sky Needle)
sold under the Tri-Ex name will no longer be manufactured in
Visalia,
California. The Visalia facility, which was licensed through
First Call to
make the Tri-Ex tower, is closing. All Tri-Ex owned
manufacturing machinery
such as the fixtures, jigs, and rod benders and associated
machinery has been
moved and presently in production at the new factory in
Orrville, Ohio under
the auspices of the Will-Burt Company.

This past April, the Will-Burt Company (est. 1901), the largest
manufacturer
of telescoping masts in the world, had acquired the rights to
Tri-Ex and has
begun manufacturing updated versions of the entire line of
Tri-Ex towers for
both amateur and commercial use.

The Will-Burt Company in Orriville, Ohio (www.willburt.com)
presently employs
379 people with sales revenue in excess of 53 million. The
Tri-Ex line under
Will-Burt will not only be updated, but also expanded with
additional
accessories and safety features so far available only on the
commercial tower
side. Production will consistently be according to high quality
standards as
Will-Burt operates under an ISO 9001 Certified Quality System.

Orders that were in place at the California facility will be
finished in
Orrville, Ohio. It should also be noted that tower delivery
will be
expedited dramatically. All worldwide sales for amateur radio
products and
commercial towers will remain at First Call Communications
(www.firstcallcom.net) in New York.

If you presently have a Tri-Ex tower on order, and received a
letter from
First Call and Will-Burt, we ask for your continuing patience.
Rest assure
that the tower you are getting be it a 51,55,72,86 or 106 footer
is the
strongest lattice, telescoping tower available anywhere.

Thank you to all of you that had made 2000 a tremendous year in
the sales of
Tri-Ex towers.
