MIG or Metal-Inert-gas process will work on many things.
Titanium with shield on both sides
Stainless with one-sided shield
Mild-steel-same as above
Aluminum
Magnesium
Copper
Inconel
Nickel
Alloys of copper
Galvanized steel destroying the zinc coating in the process
Copper-coated steel destroying the coating in the process
The main thing is the filler-wire, ie: the same as the base-metal
The gas is inert, and Pure Argon or Helium ( hotter,but need higher flow-
rate ) is the gas of choice
For Steel, if clean, Co2 work great and is cheap
