Mine was just about the same situation here recently except the county gave
me a permit that stated "exempt from height restrictions." The county
planner called me an hour after asking for the permit to tell me it was
approved. That took two minutes. Then he spoke for another thirteen minutes
asking how to become a ham. The building inspector in my area is also a
ham. No problem with a final sign off. Now it is the neighbors I have to
fight with but the tower is up.
