Hi All:
As every one is having fun with the C-3 vs T-6 debate,
here is a question to add to the pot.
I have a TH-6 at 72 feet. I am thinking of replacing it
with a C-19XR.
How would these two antennas match up?
>From Force 12's web page:
C3 C19 C31
20 4.6 (-.6) 5.2 (+.8) 6
15 4.8 (-.2) 5.0 (+1.3) 6.3
10 4.4 (-1.5) 5.9 (+1.5) 7.4
>From Steve and Ward's measurements (plus some "funny math")
The math is mine so flame me not the other gents.
C3 C19 C31 TH-7
20 3.3 (3.9 to 4.1) 4.9 3.0
15 4.3 (4.5 to 3.7) 5.0 3.5
10 2.7 (4.3 to 4.5) 6.0 2.9
It seems to me that the C-19 would be a good substitute
for the TH-6
The C-19 wasn't tested but I made the assumption that F-12
tested all their antennas the same, and that the gain figures
would hold up under the tri-band report's protocol.
The other assumption I made was that the TH-6 would be quite
close to the TH-7.
So am I all wet?
