Terminal #'s 1 & 2 are NOT the motor windings, but the wedge brake release
solenoid, which requires the most current, thus the heavier wires. #1 also
provides a ground return path for the motor. The motor windings are #5
(Right) & #6 (Left). #3 and #7 are across the 500 Ohm direction indication
potentiometer, with the wiper being grounded through the bell, and #4 & #8
go across the motor windings to the start/run capacitor. -=Roger-K9RB=-
