The last time that happened to me, I found I had a CBer several doors away
that was transmitting. Every time he hit the mic, my SWR would jump around
due to the received power on my antenna. On 80 and 160, a close by broadcast
station can cause apparent SWR to vary depending on the frequency and time of
day.
