Last summer, I put back in service a CDR TR-44 that hadn't
been used in 25 years (for a small 2 meter beam). When I first
connected the control box to the rotor in the shack, it didn't work. I
replaced the motor starting cap. and all was well! I presume it just
dried out over time. I didn't open up the rotor itself. It's working
fine today.
