Use a multi turn Allen Bradley pot with the pot's shaft affixed to a small
gear (cut from an aluminum Mardi Gras doubloon, or something similar).
Mesh the new gear against the main bull gear in the prop pitch.
Use a Tailtwister, Ham-II, Ham-M, or similar box to control the whole
thing.
Change out the control box transformer so as to be more heavy duty, and it
works like a champ !!! Use 2 conductor Romex with a ground to run power to
the prop pitch. Use some small 3 conductor wire back to indicate to the
control box.
You will never have a problem with getting proper indication ever again.
No more selsyn carp and corruption aggravations.
I've done this, and it is the ONLY way to go !!!
