Hi Paul,
I have had a TH6 and a 40-2CD up for many years.  With this setup I've
determined that the antennas "ride" much better in heavy winds with
the element tips pointed into the wind.  Also, if the wind is
accompanied by freezing rain, as we can get here in the mid-atlantic
regiont from a nor'easter, the elements won't build up ice nearly as
quickly.
