Suggest something like 'tar'... one issue tho'... if anchor bolts made out of
'plain steel' & imbedded in concrete with no protection, the lime will literally
eat the bolts up! And rather quickly! Most anchor bolts are of an alloy or
coated
so as to limit the amount of deterioration by lime. I hope yours are such!

Did you 'mound' your pad slightly so that rain water will drain off & not stand
around the anchor bolts?
