Hi: I am planning to reinstall a TA-33 which has been stored since 1975. The instructions (1970 dated) indicate to attach the coax directly to the driven element. My questions: should a 1:1 balun be used at the beam or is that not recommended? What alternatives should one consider in making the coax connection? 73, Reid--W0FVR -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.html Submissions: towertalk@contesting.com Administrative requests: towertalk-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-towertalk@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
