JEEZ. Tom, that is a terribly iconoclastic thing to say to those of us
working so hard to establish "big" (or even moderate) signals. Contesting is
supposed to be serious work, not fun!
The Minnesota Wireless Association team worked Field Day 1200 miles from
home in Idaho using solar power (< 5W). a single transmitter and a multiband
dipole and had a great time, but could only generate about 3700 points. One
really needs beams, towers, KW's, several simultaneous transmitters etc. to
properly particpate in things like Field Day and the IARU contest.
