        My experience is that Cushcraft doesn't, or didn't, invest in the best
grade of stainless (SS) hardware. Inexpensive low grade SS will rust. Low
grade SS can be easly detected with the use of a magnet.
        I wrote the company about this poor grade of rusted hardware and they 
did
the worst customer service faux pas. They told me I was crazy and that
their product was sufficient. 
        Well, it was not. 
        A trip to a boat works I found replacement SS hardware  
        In a salt laden humid trades, I'm capable of detecting rusty, poor
grade SS
hardware!
        Perhaps the new President S. Best will make corrections these kinds of
corporate "oversights"!
