Many thanks to all who commented on my proposed use of the Rohn BX tower
section of my old Hy Tower as the support for a small 12/17 yagi. The
consensus seemed to be that it probably isn't over stressing it and it's
worth a try.
Although my C4S works well on 17, and somewhat less well on 12, I've
decided that I really want a separate antenna for these bands. Though
the C4S works well on 17, the reversed directivity makes it a real pain
going from 17 to 15 or 20 and I really need better performance on 12.
I hesitate stacking a 12/17 antenna on the same tower as the C4S because
of potential really strange interactions between the two.
