There is a note in the TIA-222-F that applies to some counties. The
special wind region is indicated on an ASCE 7-88 wind map. This is the Am.
Soc. of Civil Engineers and they have determined special wind areas. These are
high exposure spots and your building department will know about it if it's
applicable. Mention this reference and your building department people will
REALLY think that you know what you're talking about!
