Subject: Old Mosely Antenna
I have been pointed to you as a possible info source
I uncovered an old Mosely Vest Pocket 2-el 40M beam which I had way back
when (60's?)and had taken down for reasons I don't even remember.
Everything is there but the driven element coil. Am trying to determine
the number of turns and spacing of the outer coilover the plexiglas
cover of the inner coil and how it was matched (connected) to the coax.
I have the original instruction sheet but it has not a shred of info
except how to put it together. I called Mosely and they did not seem to
want to even discuss it. Any ideas who might be a source of information
on this old VP-40-2 (with the redwood supports which are still in good
shape)???
By the way, just getting on the internet and back on the air. Great
site.
