Dick& Stan,
My instinct tells me that Rohn's pier-pin base mounting method
might be just the thing if a large wind-load or torque moment would
make the tower suscepible to twisting (and, potentially a
collapse). On the other hand, my pucker meter would favor a tower
solidly set in a yard of concrete! I also wouldn't expect Rohn to
comment on any installation technique outside of their instruction
guidelines.
