If I had "five empty acres" in which to put an antenna, I would put up
whatever I could afford, insure it, and operate with max. joy.
I know it is "fun" to over-engineer towers/ants, but I see a lot of
over-caution here, mostly.
My operational rule is, if it can't fall on anything important, put it up!
and .... same "if": then put it up higher, and higher.... and put more
antennas on it.
If it can fall on something important, then, and only then, get out the
engineers and the EEEEHS guy wire, etc.
Out by its lonely, if the tower is still up after five years, it was not
