In my web site notes on staggered Yagis, I looked at monotapered 3-el
20/15 meter Yagis and at versions with tapered elements. The required
adjustments were not identical. At the time I only had time to look at
monotapered 4-el 20/15 Yagis.
Just recently, I had a chance to look at a dual 4-el combo for another
ham, so I added the notes on these beams (and descriptions) to the
notebook entry on line. Tapered-diameter elements do make a difference in
what happens and hence on their relative placement. But you can get the
two onto a 40' boom, which is a lot easier to move around in a model than
in real life.
Hope the new additions are useful to someone.
