Well, I am sure am glad this article came out. 4000 watts and a big hill,
huh? Now I know how the High Power guys do so much better than us 100
watters in contests.
I suppose this reflector won't be relevant much longer. I also read that
today's ham gear relies as much on microchips and software as it does
on things like "odd-looking" antennas.

p.s. I bet the Times gets as many letters from physicists and astronomers
concerning the author's misunderstanding of the ionesphere as they
get from amateur operators concerning his incorrect "facts".
