Hi Marc
The TS-570D is different in its internal diode matix then the ones sent to
North America. You might want to check with the dealer and he will be able
to obtain information from Kenwood that will allow you to do this. As an
example, an North American radio from Kenwood has a "K" stamped on the
outside of the box. This indicates a North American band plan (I'm not
sure if the eprom is different between Europe and NA...with Icom is is, and
Yaesu only ships one brand all over the world and changes the diode matrix).
In Canada, the dealer usually provides this information free of charge to
the buyer. I suggest the owner of the radio contact the dealer and ask for
the information. Kenwood does have it available.
