A QST review was in Nov. '84. It has xray pictures showing power resistors
and a scrap circuit board unconnected to anything. QST measured less than
1.4:1 swr from 160m to 6m without any antenna attached, just what you would
expect from a dummy load. Evidently it was sold in large quantities to the
US Gov. Cost for the 200W unit I have was $600. So I guess I own an
interesting and dubious bit of ham history. Luckily no one else wanted it
so I got it for the minimum bid of a quarter.
Tnx to all for info, Ed
