Hi Ernesto,

Dave Yanke's post may be best and the easiest. If you're handy at building
and rather do it yourself AND you don't need any more volume level than
the tiny amplifier in your sound card provides...

Get a small chassis box, put in a stereo L-Pad (a special pot arrangement
that keeps 8 Ohms or whatever the L-Pad is rated for as a constant load
to the amplifier and just allows you to CUT the level of signal driving
your speaker) The value of the L-Pad should be based on the recommended
load for your card and it should come with a simple instruction sheet.

The stereo L-Pad comes with two "pots" ganged together on one shaft so
you can adjust left and right volume at the same time and level.

Wire the Left and Right Channel input from a compatible stereo plug or
individual plugs as the card design dictates and to the appropriate left
and right L-Pad. Then the outputs of the L-Pad to your left and right
speakers jacks or directly to speakers.

Of course, after all this; You may have either spent more money and time
building all this or wish you had more volume versus following Dave's
advice BUT you will have built and perhaps learned something. Increasingly
rare in this hobby.

Good Luck,

Aloha, 73
