This much I can tell you as the UK GemQuad dealer. No 40m quad from Gem
at present. My own feeling is that you may be able to do half the
spreader in aluminum and the outer part in Gem. But the stock Gem spider
would need reinforcing methinks.

I hope that is a crank-up Charlie. I had a 2el 40 quad on a 95 ft tower.
It blew everyone else on the band away. Unfortunately after 2 weeks the
wind blew IT away. It took me and entire week of vacation to put it up.
I did not feel like doing it again ! So I'm now using a Cushcraft. About
1- 1.5 s-units down I wud say.
