Was out this morning touring the neighborhood yardsales and found a large
roll (several 1000 feet) of #14 AWG copper wire with what looks like a
thick teflon jacket. Here is what was printed on the 'white' jacket -
Smithereen, Inc.,.... oops, wrong thread :-), "Paige Electric #14 AWG
PE E 24464 (UL) 600V Golf Course Sprinkler System Wire". The jacket
appears to be about twice as thick as normal THHN house wiring. Anyone
know anything about this wire? Is it direct burial? There wasn't any
label on the reel.
