The HDR300 in question has been supporting the 40m beam for about 3 yrs.
It turns it very well and does not really appear to be overloaded.
The only problem has been the mast slipping in the mast clamp.
I broke my own rule by pinning the mast to the clamp---BIG mistake!
Im using HDR300's on several large antennas and experience the normal
trouble: shafts, keyways, pot...; inside it usually amounts to a couple
VR's or diodes after a "near miss"...
The only prop-pitch im using was made by W0MLY es turns the 3 ele 80m.
The rotor seems tough enough I just keep replacing the shear pins!!!
