Victor,
When the beam is low to the ground, the ground acts like a big
reflector. This causes RF to be reflected back into the antenna, and
current flows helter skelter through the parasitic elements. To get a
closer adjustment on the ground, point the beam straight up in the
air. If the earth wants to be a reflector, let it be part of the
reflector.
This advice is worth what you paid for it.....try it, if you like it,
use it no charge.
