Hello All....
I have a 60 foot Rohn tower, guyed at 35 and 55 feet with insulators, with a
old TA-33 on top.
I have 80 and 40 meter dipoles mounted at 45 feet.
I have a gamma matching arm at 55 feet which is three feet long. The gamma
wire is a hunk of RG58U. I am using the outside shield to obtain a thicker
wire for more bandwidth.
The issues is...I cannot get the gamma match to come down to a reasonable
SWR below 3:1. I have two ground rounds next to the pad clamped on the
tower. They are about 8 feel apart.
Can someone enlighten me as to why I cannot get the SWR down. Iv'e done
this before wit ha 50 foot tower and a TH7. Not enought top loading?
Also, picket up an MFJ analyzer and Dayton. I think someone burned out the
front end on it. Anyone can fix it?
