We are not alone with our tower woes.

   Tower Placement Issues

In this case, an example is worth a thousand pictures. In the affluent Town
of Paradise Valley, AZ, home to doctors, trial lawyers, syndicated
columnists, golf legends, and Indy drivers, AirTouch would like to erect a
60 foot monopole, cellular antenna, to improve service. No way, said the
town council. The maximum structure height allowed in the Township is 30
feet. Making matters worse is the Township requirement that only a
land-owner can request a permit. This rolling piece of choice property,
just happens to carry one of the highest price tags in the entire state.

Just when you thought that things couldn't go any further south, the Town
Council stated "and there is the question of fairness. If we let one do it,
at least five others will apply."

Obviously, total deployment of PCS will take time to accomplish, but until
all of the required tower sites have been secured, service start-up will be
difficult to predict, and will undoubtedly have coverage gaps.

What do you bet these people will complain about limited coverage of their
cellphones later on?
