TY for our 160 (and other) qso's with the team!
I used an Inv L (~ 60 feet horizontal) with 1 KW out.
First call qso - op was excellent and very easy to work but VP2VI
signal
was not as strong as I expected.
Maybe 10 - 15 db weaker than what I anticipated. Just about 599.

Hello Andy,
I worked you on April 13 at 0041UTC CW 100 watts to a inverted L ~
25' vertical to knee 110' horizontal, wire running west from knee.
This 160 inverted L is a parallel wire to my 6BTV connected to the
6BTV feed point.
You were a solid S9 here in EM66IJ the evening we worked. I have been
checking your freq on 160 when you are there, and you are always at
least S7 and above. Good copy sigs all the time.
I hope you make more QS on 160. GL es good DX!

750 - 800W output from a homebrew antler tuner (probably 100 - 150
watts
loss), 160m inverted L sloping up from ground some 30 feet from the
base
of a 38-foot support tower, then horizontal-sloping top wire toward
the
SE, 20 feet high at the end. 4 120 foot radials spread out west to
east
on the north side of the sloping vertical wire. Chainlink fence 125
feet
square to the south of the radials, also connected to the feedline
shield. QTH is in the middle of the desert of SoCal. I can forward a
drawing but this reflector doesn't allow them. I laid out this
antenna
originally specifically to work 9M2AX, which it did (but only after
he
reached S8). No separate RX amtler(s) at present.

Seventeen meter tall aluminum tubing ground-mounted vertical with an

Andy,
I worked VP2VI on April 21st at 02:11utc. VP2VI was very loud here
and in the clear. You appeared to be calling CQ with very few
responses. I was using an InvL at approx 50' vertical for both receive
and transmit. Power out was about 100w and you answered on my first
call. I spotted you right after along with QSX and it didn't seem to
really help you out very much. Not sure why as you were fairly loud
here on the InvL.
Thanks for the new country on 160!

Hi Andy,
100 watts to a 68 foot base loaded vertical with 55 short buried
radials(2500 feet of radials). Worked you 5 minutes before my sunset
when
you were just above my noise floor whereas you were much stronger 1.5
hours
later. I was amazed you heard me. Located near Indianapolis Indiana.

Andy,
Seventeen meter tall aluminum tubing ground-mounted vertical with an
approximately 26 meter long top loading? ("L") wire.? Sixteen, 17
meter long insulated radials on the ground.? With the Vp of my desert

Andy,
I worked VP2VI on April 21st at 02:11utc.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the 160m cw QSO at 0139Z. I was running 1300w to a 55'
high
inverted L with 31 radials from 75' to 130'. I am located near
Chicago. I
could not hear you well enough for a QSO on the inverted L, but you
were
very clear on my phased K9AY loops.
