160M is a band that if we want to work much, is very demanding of efficient TX antennas and RX antennas that improve the RX s/n ratio. It also demands that we do as much as possible to track down and eliminate what are likely a couple of dozen noise sources in our homes. And it's important to provide the best practical return for antenna current, so that much of our transmitter's power is not lost.

Here are slides for a talk I've done at Pacificon, Visalia, and to several ham clubs about transmit antenna systems for topband. W3LPL has done some excellent talks at Dayton about receive antennas.
