I use a 6ft diameter 4-turn loop as my 160m DX Receive antenna . . .
If it's only used on receive, you can easily make a tiny transformer between
the Loop and the coax . . . so Common Mode pickup wouldn't be a problem.
I have a pre-amp in the shack on the Loop . . . that's set so that local
signals are the same strength on the Loop as on my Tx antenna, so I can give
meaningful S Meter reports.
