Great idea, Jim!!!

As others have said, there are simple ways of telling whether the band is
open and to where. That's the time we should be calling CQ, even if there
are no other signals. We might just get something started.

I lost one of the two elevated radials (neighbor's cows and/or falling
branches), and I haven't been on 160 in some months. You might just be
lighting a fire under me to get back on 160.
