Anyone know if the ferrite beads that are encased on the cables of older CRTmonitors are any good for use in the shack. This has probably been asked before but I can not find any info. Thanks , Joe K2UF Since most of those come from Asia it is anyones guess what mixes are used by who. It would be simple enough to wind 10 turns, measure inductance and then zero in on the Al value using the published formula.
