There's at least one -- it's MUCH easier to work both locals and DX on 
160 from New England than from California! Two reasons -- a LOT more 
locals within range of a mediocre antenna, and an all water path to EU, 
AF, and SA that doesn't go over the auroral region.
In any contest, I could work more on 160 from Chicago with 100W and a 
low Tee vertical than I can with 1.5kW and full size verticals from NorCal.
