Thanks for the input I have one Beverage using WD-1A also.

Audio wire is and has been used in Radio & TV stations that I have worked.
It is constructed to reject AC hum and RF into the pair. It works extremely well. Theories are easy--remember when we had to lay radials enough to achieve 36 ohm at the base of a quarter wave vertical. At that time, some would argue this "until hell froze over." (: >))

I would like to see if anyone actually tried the wire, and if it rejected any portion of RF signals.

Herb and Bruce, apparently the reflector stripped the attachment of so I am
resending this to both of you...de gary

Herb and Bruce and whoever else may be interested. I am presently using
both WD-1A and twisted pair (see attached picture) and both perform the same
with transformer set designed for 120 ohms. The most recent DX worked on
the twisted pair was HS0ZKX from the SW direction (reverse direction) and
these transformer sets are available from DXE 73, de gary

If Cat 5 cable will work why won't two wire twisted air audio cable? Is
it because of the tightness of the twist that is of concern. I see no
reason it won't work except for the cancellation property of twisted
pair but with a Beverage we are dealing with a different wire signal
propagation medium....unless of course it has a shield like most
broadcast audio wire used today does, then all bets are off.

Intriguing question ?

Has anyone on the reflector ACTUALLY tried two wire audio twisted pair for
a 2 wire, two direction Beverage antenna. If yes, how did it work ? Notice
any added directional properties?
