Remember that in the southern hemisphere the seasons are reversed from
NA and supposedly at the equatorial belt it is a wash with tropical QRN
being the factor along the ITCZ. But don't give up....as the past two
nights Dietmar, V5/DL3DXX has been in here with a 579 signal after
local sunset. He has been easy to work and has a bunch of EU's calling
him but no NA except myself and VE1ZZ. Namibia is 10,000KM from me and
anytime of year this is good DX especially from the African Continent.
ZL3IX is 14,000KM away and we can work with 579-599 signals almost any
morning during the Spring and summer months. Anything, including the
promotion of the "Summer Stew", that anyone can do to keep up the
activity on TB is great.
