Hi All,
So far Jacek made about 5000 QSOs total and 530 on Topband , he worked on TB
102 stations from Europe... not counting European Russia and Ukraine.
Since 2 days at last we have better propagation from Europe.
Last two days Jacek had very strong storms on Pigeon Island and yesterday his
80m antenna
broke so he will be not on 80m again...
He has quite high noise level and he thought HI-Z 4sq will solve all problems
and he didn't
take any additional wires or parts...simply his luggage was too heavy anyway.
Because of too small space there he was not able to mount 4sq but yesterday he
used
parts from 4sq ( wires and resistors from preamplifier) to build a Pennant in
the direction of US
and it seems to working quite well. The problem is he is not able to change
direction of the Pennant
to Europe during a night...in a bush .
Because of QRN and noise Jacek asks to not call him with 30 wpm!... he is not
able to copy fast CW
in such conditions. He is tired ....mainly because of lack of sleep...he was
not able to sleep more than 3 hours
continuously so far. Its raining heavily last days and he is afraid how they
will get to the Airport on Lata...
Again... he will be on Topband till 1830 Z 20th October.
