Andrew,
I am not sure of the interaction. Maybe someone has some experience with
that. I would try to make the wires parallel to each other at the same
heigth. That way you have the same impedance to ground for both antennas.
But if both stations want to listen in the same direction at the same time
(ie working the East Coast of the US) then a simple 75 ohm 2-way power
splitter covering both bands will work fine using the same antenna. I
believe 30 dB isolation between ports should be possible at those
frequencies. Both outputs will be 3 dB + insertion loss (~3.6 dB) down from
the input.
